Fig fruit is very beneficial for health. Fig is a good source of Beta-Carotene and Vitamin C. These two anti-oxidant are really effective in prevention of cancer.

Fig contains a lot of other vitamins and nutrition like Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Phosphorus, vitamin A, B and C, while its sugar level is high thus full of energy. We will discuss the benefits of figs in the coming words.

The fiber in figs helps to reduce weight and is often recommended for obese people. However, because of high amount of calories can also result in gaining weight; specially when eaten with milk. So do not overeat. This feature has turned fig into a great fruit for the children who suffers from malnutrition.

Prevent constipation

At the end I must add that eating too many figs can cause diarrhea. Furthermore, dried figs are high in sugar and can potentially cause tooth decay. Also, there are those who are allergic to figs or certain chemical components within them, and the resulting allergic reactions can be mild to severe. As always, before making a major change in your diet, speak with your doctor.

Finally, it is best not to consume too many figs in the first few weeks leading up to a surgery, because they can occasionally cause bleeding in the digestive tract in sensitive people.
