Fresh fig is a great source of vitamin C and beta carotene. Fig also contain two very essential anti-oxidant which can have pivotal rule in stopping the cancer.

Having a lot of sugar inside, fresh fig could be a good source of energy and the water inside it will be released little by little which can have a good effect to stop thirst.

Fig or Anjeer, having a lot of little seeds inside which will help your digesting system a lot and will cure your constipation.

Traditional medicine says that the white sap of fig will recover your wound very fast and having the leaves of the fig will lower your blood sugar.

Fresh fig now a day is used inside a lot of foods and a lot of recipes is using fresh figs as the sweetening material.

Because, fresh fig does not last for a long time and have a short harvesting time; you may find it dried the market. But be aware that cooking is also possible with the dried fig. you just need to soak the dried fig in the water and then you will have fresh fig in 3 to 4 hours.
